PositivityChange Post : Issue 46 : Expanding Beyond Positivity

I am fresh off PositivityChange.com turning two years! I have ben reflecting a whole lot about the direction that I want the site to go. I am very happy that PositivityChange.com has conquered its mission and expanded into podcasting (Positive Change Radio). I am contemplating further expansion into doing a YouTube livestream. I have migrated my other Blogtalkradio show to YouTube Live certainly I can do the same thing with Positive Change Radio. I do think that this move would increase my reach since after 12 episodes of my other livestream show, I am gaining traction. I will keep you, the reader, posted on all of my developments to spread more positive change.

As always, follow us on PositivityChange Facebook page. Where we have even more ways to learn and experience positive change. Here is the video that I’ve shot celebrating PositivityChange turning two.

PositivityChange Post : Issue 45 : Two Years On

Today, July 31, 2017, marks my second anniversary of PositivityChange! When I first started this blog, I had no idea that it would morph into an Amazon bestselling book or get me on radio. All I wanted to do was prove that positive change existed and show people to how create more of it. I am grateful for all of the readers, subscribers, Facebook followers and retweets that my articles have received.

Here are my 5 takeaways from celebrating 2 years’ of positive change:

  • Positive change is hard but doable – there I’ve said it. I think that initially when I started, people assumed that my site would be all lovey dovey and gushy. It isn’t. Positive change is hard work especially when the world equates change to be negative. I am happy to diligently write about how to create and maintain positive change for two years.
  • Keep spare articles around when the lull and writing block hits – it’s unrealistic to feel positive 100% of the time. As a blogger, I have to have back-up articles that I post just in case I either don’t feel like writing or have completely blanked out. Remember, I may have an off day but readers are coming to my blog daily.
  • It’s okay to not have all of the answers – when you’re blogging, readers assume that you’re the field expert. Well, I am 100% certain that I know more now in 2017 than I did when I first started in 2015.
  • Ignore the haters. I am writing and moving forward. They aren’t – people who leave rude comments and want to go back and forth with you on social media aren’t content creators. I am. It is only human to get defensive whenever some leaves a bad comment; but, I remember, that I am the one is actually out there actively blogging and contributing. They aren’t.
  • Keep in touch with your audience – Community means everything to me. I love my subscribers, followers and blog readers. I value your input and whenever I start writing anything, I always think about how you would receive it.

PositivityChange Post : Issue 44 : Keeping Pushing for Positive Change

My summer has been an eventful one. I am in the midst of seeking a new position. This job process has been different than previous ones. Some good, some bad. One in particular has been full of pits and valleys. I am a former government employee so I don’t have to fill out as much paperwork; however, that hasn’t stopped the snafus. I have been told that I haven’t been transferred from one system to another. Another mix-up comes when I submit the ready for work paperwork and the person cannot read the Adobe fillable PDF. My most recent peculiarity is that after giving my fingerprints to the agency, I will have to wait for 4 weeks to get my badge then return to give my fingerprints again. Needless to say, I have to keep finding ways to be positive.

Now, hopefully your job search or current job is nothing like what I am experiencing but just in case it is, here are some resources to help get you through:
