Here is to a productive Monday and week! In this issue, I am going to discuss the importance of support. Having support from your friends, family and coworkers makes positive change easier. I have come to this topic after receiving a mug from one of my favorite YouTube shows, the Pursuit. I learn about this show from the Entrepreneur Magazine’s YouTube channel. I genuinely like it so I share it across social media whenever there is a new episode. Receiving this mug is a pleasant surprise. I am just happy that she is living her dream.
The Importance of Support
Positive change is very hard without support. Here is my Facebook video magnifying the importance of support in what we love to see in this world.

We are halfway done with September! Time has gone quick! I can remember when we were just starting off the month with Labor Day. Now we are midway there and approaching October. Time sure does fly. One thing that doesn’t fly (at least here at the PositivityChange Post!) is fear of success. I know, I know, most people don’t tackle this fear. Most people are concerned about fear of failure; but, what if you’re afraid of success because you can’t quite envision what success might look for you?! Well, worry not more because this issue, I am breaking you of this bad habit!
Fear is all a part of the journey. I become afraid from time to time, but, that doesn’t stop my journey. I keep a composition notebook in my purse at all times jotting down whatever thoughts come to mind. Whenever, fears arise, I write down why I fear. It takes all of the power away from the emotion because now I am documenting why I am afraid. I realize that most times, I am fearful because I don’t know what the future would look like. When I was an economist in 2007, I had no idea that I would be doing what I am doing right now in 2017. I don’t even have to go back that far. You know what I mean. The fear of success is simply not knowing what the future holds and how you fit in that future. Getting to the root of fear of success is indispensable towards you getting ahead in life and your career.

I am fresh off PositivityChange.com turning two years! I have ben reflecting a whole lot about the direction that I want the site to go. I am very happy that PositivityChange.com has conquered its mission and expanded into podcasting (Positive Change Radio). I am contemplating further expansion into doing a YouTube livestream. I have migrated my other Blogtalkradio show to YouTube Live certainly I can do the same thing with Positive Change Radio. I do think that this move would increase my reach since after 12 episodes of my other livestream show, I am gaining traction. I will keep you, the reader, posted on all of my developments to spread more positive change.
As always, follow us on PositivityChange Facebook page. Where we have even more ways to learn and experience positive change. Here is the video that I’ve shot celebrating PositivityChange turning two.

Today, July 31, 2017, marks my second anniversary of PositivityChange! When I first started this blog, I had no idea that it would morph into an Amazon bestselling book or get me on radio. All I wanted to do was prove that positive change existed and show people to how create more of it. I am grateful for all of the readers, subscribers, Facebook followers and retweets that my articles have received.
Here are my 5 takeaways from celebrating 2 years’ of positive change:
- Positive change is hard but doable – there I’ve said it. I think that initially when I started, people assumed that my site would be all lovey dovey and gushy. It isn’t. Positive change is hard work especially when the world equates change to be negative. I am happy to diligently write about how to create and maintain positive change for two years.
- Keep spare articles around when the lull and writing block hits – it’s unrealistic to feel positive 100% of the time. As a blogger, I have to have back-up articles that I post just in case I either don’t feel like writing or have completely blanked out. Remember, I may have an off day but readers are coming to my blog daily.
- It’s okay to not have all of the answers – when you’re blogging, readers assume that you’re the field expert. Well, I am 100% certain that I know more now in 2017 than I did when I first started in 2015.
- Ignore the haters. I am writing and moving forward. They aren’t – people who leave rude comments and want to go back and forth with you on social media aren’t content creators. I am. It is only human to get defensive whenever some leaves a bad comment; but, I remember, that I am the one is actually out there actively blogging and contributing. They aren’t.
- Keep in touch with your audience – Community means everything to me. I love my subscribers, followers and blog readers. I value your input and whenever I start writing anything, I always think about how you would receive it.
